Sr. Laura Frankila and Jr. Sheri Chatters finished 1-2 at the Jensen Memorial in 19:25.5 and 19:35.3 reversing their 1-2 finish from 1997. Sherie and Laura went 1-2 at Conference and both qualified for State with 3rd and 6th place finishes at Regionals. Laura finished off her career with a 3rd at State in 19:18 and her third All-State award. Sheri was 17th at State. |
Willie Lewis only ran one year of cross country but showed up at Regionals ready to perform. A 13th place finish earned Will a trip to the State Individual Race were he finished 47th. Will also brought home a 4th at the Jensen. |
Soph. Becki West on her way to an 11th place finish at the Jensen. Becky also earned medals at Sturgis (14th), Conference (5th), and Regionals (15th) and placed 83rd at State. |
Sr. Chris Covelle led the way most of the year winning three dual meets, placing 5th at Conference and was 3rd in the Jensen. |
Jr. Jon Cornforth placed 16th at the Jensen Memorial, just .3 seconds out of making the All-County Team. |
